Aircraft 001-3 it's a third Изделие-476 Ил-76МД-90А Il-76MD-90A (first serial) with new PS-90A-76 turbofan engines, special modifications of PS-90A engine, intended to replace D-30KP engines in upgraded or new Il-76s. Engine was certified in 2003 and in service in 2003.
Aircraft produced by «Авиастар-СП» in Ульяновск-Восточный {Aviastar-SP, Ulyanovsk-East}; first flight 3 X 2014. | 2017 XI 18 | 78651 |
First (and only so far) completed A-100 (2016-2017), after A-100LL. Very slow build and trials. New radars, digital equipment, wings, landing gear and two stabilisers under tail. New antenna above cockpit, changed shape of fairing under nose between Groza and Kupol, countless antennas everywhere, rounded tips of wings and horizontal stabilizers, jamming pods under wings. Different from the A-50 and A-50U are the antenna dish supports - they are shaped like the Indian A-50EI. Radome is biger then on A-50. Lightgrey livery. After first flight 9 February 2022 with all systems on, crew commander, test pilot of Byeriyev TANTK, honored test pilot of the first class Сергей Пархаев Sergey Parkhayev said: The flight proceeded normally. All systems and equipment worked correctly. The crew fully fulfilled the flight task, verifying the stability and controllability of the aircraft at the specified piloting modes, as well as the operation of the complex installed on the aircraft. The Il-76MD-90A platform confirmed the specified characteristics. The cockpit was equipped with a unique glass protecting the crew from the radiation of its own radar and at the same time having high light transmission. The press service of Rostec State Corporation told: Thanks to a specially developed composition and magnetron sputtering technology it was possible not only to solve the problem of shielding the cockpit from the action, including its own radar station, but also to achieve light transmission of cockpit windows up to 65-70%. On the previous generation of flying radars this indicator did not exceed 30%. The developer of the metal-optical coating is the ОНПП «Технология» им. А. Г. Ромашина {ONPP “Tekhnologiya” 'technology' named after A. G. Romashin} in city of Obninsk, part of Rostec State Corporation). The enterprise has been developing coatings applied to the glass surface for domestic aircraft for more than 10 years. Oficially in service with BKC Rossiyi {Military Space Forces of the Russia}, but chance to enter serial production is very low. In the beggining of 2024 remain in Taganrog factory airfield. June 2024: first flight tests in a long time. |
